Wilford M. Farnsworth, III (Marty)
Marty founded Excel Advisory Group in 1992. Mr. Farnsworth is an alumni of Stanford University and Harvard University. His career started with Trammell Crow Company where he became a partner who developed and/or acquired over 3.5 million square feet of industrial facilities. Since establishing Excel, Marty co‐founded MainSpring Capital Group which has purchased or developed over $100 million in assets such as master‐planned residential and golf communities, offices and industrial building and parks. Mr. Farnsworth is also the co‐founder of IBC Holding, LLC, an industrial and office developer/investor with holdings in Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, Utah and Oregon.
Kevin Starr
Mr. Starr, an alumni of Brigham Young University and University of Connecticut, started his career with Aetna Life and Casualty and Aetna Realty Investors, spending 18 years directing market areas and developing, managing and restructuring assets within a $27 billion portfolio through joint ventures, acquisitions, commercial and participating mortgages for all income producing real estate types. Having joined Excel in 1996, Mr. Starr has been a principal since 2001.
Todd M James
After graduating from San Diego State University, Mr. James worked as a loan officer/underwriter and finance portfolio manager with a number of banks and savings and loan association, thereafter leaving to provide consulting services to variety of clients including Goldman Sachs, J.E. Robert Companies, Lehman Brothers, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrett and Morgan Stanley. Mr. James joined Excel in 1996, becoming a principal in 2004.
James E. Berry
An alumni of the California University System, Mr. Berry was initially trained as an auditor of real estate companies in public accounting, thereafter joining Trammell Crow Company, The Shidler Group and director of due diligence at CenterTrust. Mr. Berry originally joined Excel in 1994, rejoined in 2003 and became a principal in 2005.
